I’ve been writing and working on my blog day in and day out for a couple of years now. It is not always easy to come up with new ideas and for a long time I felt like nobody even read what I wrote about. I started this blog back in 2016 with little to no idea what I was doing. Now over time, and a lot of hard work, I have seen my readership increase to the point that I made the list of top outdoor blogs. It makes me feel good that people enjoy reading and learning what I’m sharing.

I have perused the list of the top 100 outdoor blogs that are listed over at Feedspot. This list includes a huge variety of different types of blogs. Some of them are blogs associated with magazines or companies and at the other end of the spectrum there are many run by one person who enjoys traveling, nature, and writing.
Jake’s Nature Blog is listed as number 57 on the list!
Obviously I’m not going to list off all of the blogs here, but I’ve taken the time to peruse them and am going to give you some of my favorites here. The outdoor and nature blogs listed here are ones that I personally enjoy reading.

#31 The Girl Outdoors – This blog is based in the UK and focuses on outdoor adventures all over the world.
#41 Erin Outdoors – This is a very well put together blog that is all about traveling and the outdoors. This blogger is a good writer and photographer.
#46 Girl On A Hike – I really like this blog that is written by a woman based in Salt Lake City. Granted, having lived in SLC I may be biased to that area, but I still like her blog. She provides lots of great tips on trails to hike.
#50 Family Adventures in The Canadian Rockies – This is a cool blog that is focused in the Canadian Rockies. The blog follows the adventures of a family exploring the mountains and shows how easy it is for others to get out with their family. Inspirational.
#53 Just A Colorado Gal – This blog focuses on outdoor pursuits in the Rockies of Colorado. It started as a single woman’s adventures and now the blogger chronicles her new life with a baby exploring the outdoors.
#56 Kid Project – A nice blog that chronicles the life of a family that is always on the road and exploring the outdoors with their kids. They have some nice gear reviews and trip reports. Additionally, this is inspirational for other families and parents.
#73 Play Outside Guide – This is a nice blog focused in Canada that covers fun outdoor pursuits to do with your family.
