Hello, my name is Jake and this is my blog about Rocky Mountain nature facts for kids and parents. I have spent years in the Rocky Mountains with my owners and their children – hiking, camping, and just playing. During that time I learned a lot about the natural world, which I will share with you in this blog.

*Note – I am based on a real dog named, surprisingly, Jake. He was born in the flatlands of the Midwest where he became adept at chasing squirrels. Jake loved to try and catch squirrels, such that he would even try to climb up the tree after them. After a few years he moved to Salt Lake City, where he has spent years exploring the Rocky Mountains.
